• Safety

We take special measures to take care of the children entrusted in our care. Every volunteer goes through safety training and has passed a background check. We have security measures in place in case of an emergency.

  • How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at our Check-In desk 15 before service starts. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text you. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and head to the Kids Check-In desk to meet a volunteer who will take you to your child's classroom.

After Service: After the service is complete check in will close 15 min after service is over, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

  • Allergies/Health

Please inform us of allergies or health issues your child may have to help us keep your child safe and know how to help them. (The Elementary Class will occasionally get candy, but children can only eat it with a parent/guardian’s permission.)

  • Sickness Policy

If your child has experienced fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours; or if your child has something that could possibly be contagious, we kindly ask that you don’t check your child into his/her class. Thank you so much for understanding.

  • Classroom Information

    Nursery

Please bring a diaper bag with supplies your child may need while he/she is at church. Include diaper changing supplies, snacks/drinks, and an extra change of clothes.

    Curriculum

We use a Bible based curriculum to engage children. Through small groups and age appropriate activities and centers, children will experience God’s word in fun ways. Our desire is to instill lifelong habits of a Christ follower at an early age, in hopes the kids will carry them into their teenage years and adulthood. Throughout the service, we model and teach them what it looks like to Obey God, to Love Others, how to Daily Worship God, the value of Small Group Involvement, the importance of Attending Church, what it looks like to Serve Faithfully, was well as and Giving Sacrificially.

    Weekly Family Devotional

Every weekend your child will receive a paper handout that aligns with the topic from the weekend and has a variety of devotionals, journaling, prayers and the monthly memory verse. This is also availablef online through the Parent Cue App. Simply add your child, add ThornCreek as your church and you can digitally access the material. Use these weekly devotionals as a springboard to discuss the weekend lesson as a family!

  • Nursing Moms Room

At ThornCreek Church we offer childcare during service for infants. But we also have a Nursing Moms Room that is available in our Worship Center for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.
