I don't know where to begin. The people of Negritos are the most amazingly loving and welcoming people I have every known. Their community is simply beautiful. Over the last week I had the privilege of being with them for the third time. Each time I come back I fall a little more in love with them, their culture, and their town. It's the reason I keep going back and hope to in the future.

This was my second trip to Negritos Peru.  I was so thankful that I was able to attend and worship once again with the friends I had made previously, having come before I knew what to expect.  You will be hugged and kissed by every person you meet, you will see extreme poverty, but you will also see great joy in the people.

It has been different this time traveling to Negritos.  Coming with Nate and Caitlyn has made me see things through a different lens than my first time.  It is a tremendous joy to be with them as they experience Negritos.  I am amazed by their great attitudes, proud of their willingness to jump all-in to any situation and deeply thankful to be with them on this journey.  I will forever remember this time with them.

Travel, travel, travel...These first two days have been such an amazing whirlwind! Monday started out for Emma and me at 5:30am, after a late night of packing and double checking our packing, so we could be at the airport to meet the rest of our team at 7:15am.

After a three hour flight to Atlanta, a couple hour lay-over, a six hour flight to Lima, immigration, customs, and a quick drive to our first hotel we got to bed after 19 hours of travel.
